Memphis, TN (May 6, 2010): Elton L. Hurlow has been promoted to Global Market Development Manager - Leather for Buckman in Memphis, TN. In this expanded role, Hurlow will coordinate the global marketing activities related to the leather industry, ensuring there is a uniform business strategy. In addition, he will act as a resource for field associates as well as technical and administrative decision makers. Hurlow will also address regulatory issues, eco labeling, and other industry challenges to support the activities of Buckman's leather business. Hurlow joined Buckman in 1997 as a Marketing Manager in the Leather Division. His prior employment includes the Leather Industry Research Institute (LIRI) from 1984 to 1987 in South Africa and the United States Leather Holdings (USLH) from 1988 to 1997 in Milwaukee, WI, and Toronto, Canada. Hurlow served as President of ALCA from 1999 to 2001, President of IULTCS from 2007 to 2009, and is currently the Chair of the IUL Commission 2010.
