MEMPHIS, Tenn., USA, January 31, 2017 – Buckman announced it has sold a portion of its water treatment business to Triwater Holdings subsidiary Klenzoid Canada, Inc., an industrial water treatment company based in Mississauga, Ontario.
Buckman Announces New CEO, Board Leadership
MEMPHIS, Tenn., USA, January 23, 2017 –Buckman today announced that Steven B. Buckman, President/CEO, will retire effective April 28, 2017. Steve has led the company’s nine global operating companies for more than 16 years. Junai Maharaj, currently Managing Director of Buckman Europe, Middle East and Africa, will become the CEO of Buckman effective April 28, 2017.
Buckman announces global price increase
MEMPHIS, Tenn., USA, October 19, 2016 – Buckman announced a price adjustment on select product lines effective November 15, 2016. The price increase will be 2 to 6 percent, dependent on geographic location and products and services sold. In some areas increases may be higher where exchange rate based adjustments are necessary.
Solenis Licenses Patented Corn Oil Extraction Technology to Buckman
MEMPHIS, Tenn., USA, May 23, 2016 – Solenis LLC and Buckman Laboratories, Inc. announced today the resolution of a pending lawsuit filed by Buckman in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee against Solenis regarding Solenis’ patent for using polysorbate as an additive for corn oil extraction aids. As a result of the settlement, Solenis has licensed the use of its corn oil extraction technology to Buckman. Under the royalty-bearing license agreement, Buckman, a producer of products for the biofuels marketplace, will become an authorized licensee in the United States and Canada of Solenis technology that enhances the efficiency of corn oil extraction in the corn-to-ethanol process.

Buckman Evolves EMEA Leather Division, Announces New Leadership

Buckman’s New Sustainability Report Highlights Progress
MEMPHIS, TN, USA, July 24, 2013 – Buckman today announced the filing and publishing of its second Sustainability Report with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). This 2012 Report follows a first venture into GRI measurement, reporting and targeting undertaken by the company in 2010. With this report, Memphis-based Buckman again places its commitment to sustainability on par with the most respected and emulated companies in the world. GRI is a network-based organization that produces a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework that is widely used as the benchmark around the world. In its second GRI Sustainability report, Buckman again adhered to GRI G3 reporting guidelines, but moved to a Level B report as a reflection of its commitment to transparency in reporting and continuous improvement processes in sustainability management and performance. The 2012 report details the company's sustainability in seven sections: economics, environment, labor, human rights, society, product responsibility, and strategy and profile. The product responsibility section is a new reporting area for 2012.

Memphis, TN, USA (June 18, 2012) – At ceremonies in Washington D.C., Buckman was presented with the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award from the EPA for its Maximyze® enzymes comprised of natural catalysts to reduce energy and decrease the amount of wood fiber needed to manufacture high quality paper and paperboard. The award, the second for Buckman, is in the Designing Greener Chemicals Award category. This is the 17th year of the EPA awards program that recognizes the design of safer and more sustainable chemicals, processes and products.
