Buckman Laboratories - Company HistoryBuckman Laboratories began its operation in 1945 with one product, one 50-gallon process vessel, and four employees on what was once a lumber yard in Memphis, Tennessee. Today, Buckman is a flourishing global business that produces over 800 different products and employs over 1,500 people on every continent around the world. The company originally manufactured unique microbicides for microorganism control, but since then has expanded its specialty line to include a broad range of novel products for pulp and paper, tissue, repulping and deinking, products targeted to the middle market water treatment segment, and a host of breakthrough chemistries for the leather industry. Beyond technical expertise and product development, Buckman has created innovative business programs called Account Management Programs (AMP) that provide total customer satisfaction by cultivating a solid business relationship built on effective communication and mutual trust. Because every customer has specific requirements and problems at their mill or plant, Buckman designs individualized programs in cooperation with the customer that offer detailed solutions to meet those needs. Integral to the process is Buckman's commitment to documented and cost-effective continuous improvement/value-added services for the benefit of all customers. Bulab Holdings, Inc. is the parent company of Buckman Laboratories. |
