Deposits and other samples contain many materials in addition to microorganisms. This may
be confusing initially. The following section contains photomicrographs of nonmicrobiological materials
frequently present in samples even when of microbiological origin.
Suggested methods for slide preparation:
1) wet mount
2) crystal violet
3) lactofuchsin or phenol cotton blue
