This assembly of photomicrographics is designed to serve as a visual aid for those who are performing microscopic observations. The old saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words," is particularly meaningful in our attempt to identify and describe microorganisms. It is the purpose of this resource to furnish quick, handy references for examiners through a series of photomicrographs of the most frequently occurring microorganisms. Additional photomicrographs will be made in the future and included in the assembly.
