Busan^® 1215 is a very stable microbicide. It’s not affected by the high organic oxidant demand that often plagues pulp and paper mills. It’s more effective at reducing deposits to maintain clean system surfaces. You’ll cut chemistry costs and, because Busan 1215 doesn’t cause corrosion like other oxidative chemistries, your equipment will last longer, too.

Improve operating machine efficiency.
With Busan 1215 you can see significant improvements in runnability and speed with fewer shutdowns for boilouts and wash ups, so you can increase yield. You’ll also get greater wet end efficiency, allowing reduced consumption of wet end additives including starch, retention aids, fixatives, dyes, defoamers, dry strength additives, and sizing. In addition, Busan 1215 won’t undermine the efficacy of other chemicals.

Improve paper quality.
Mills that have switched to Busan 1215 have seen big improvements in product quality, including reduced holes and sheet defects and minimized off-grade production.

Protect the environment.
Busan 1215 is environmentally friendly, reducing the potential toxicity of your mill’s effluent and producing far less potential carcinogens than other treatments. Chemical discharge to lakes and rivers can be significantly reduced.

Bleach and other oxidants drive corrosion rates through oxidation of metals, degradation of treatment chemistries, chloride contribution, etc.
