    Product Details

    Busan 77 from Buckman is a polyquat 60 microbicide that is highly effective in controlling the growth of algae in swimming pools, heated swimming pools, exterior spas, whirlpools, hot tubs and decorative fountains that do not contain fish. It is also used to control algae, bacteria, fungi and mollusks in industrial cooling water and industrial process water systems; control bacteria in industrial water cooling systems; and to inhibit the growth of bacteria that cause degradation of cutting fluids. The polymeric cationic microbicide is an excellent algaecide for use in swimming pools, holding ponds and the growth of bacteria in holding and processing tanks of industrial freshwater systems. Busan 77 is NSF Standard 60 certified as an algaecide and molluscicide for use levels up to 0.5 mg/L. Busan 77 is also used in metalworking formulation to prevent microbial growth, including bacteria.

    Busan 77 is suitable for acidic and alkaline systems, and unlike conventional quats, Busan 77 does not cause foam. The product is also non-volatile which makes it excellent for use in cooling water and recirculation systems to minimize loss by evaporation.

    Busan 77 is also used in metalworking fluids to prevent microbial growth and extend the lifetime of the formulation.

    Busan 77, polyquat 60 microbicide, is used to control the growth of algae in holding ponds and reservoirs, as well as controlling bacterial growth in holding and processing tanks of industrial freshwater systems supplying water to manufacturing plants. Busan 77 is not approved for use to water used for food preparation.
