Buckman WSCP is a manufacturing use product for formulation of microbicides (polyquat-based polymeric cationic microbicide) for controlling the growth of algae, bacteria, and fungi in recirculating commercial and industrial water cooling towers and recirculating cooling systems; to control algae in swimming pools, exterior spas, whirlpools, hot tubs, decorative fountains and ponds that do not contain fish; to control bacteria in industrial air-washing systems; to control algae, bacteria, fungi, and mollusks in cooling water and industrial process water systems and to inhibit the growth of bacteria that cause degradation of cutting fluids.
Unlike traditional quaternary ammonium compounds, WSCP polyquat or polyquaternium at 60% concentration, operates effectively in both acidic and alkaline environments without producing foam and remains stable due to its nonvolatile nature.
In pool applications, WSCP polyquat or polyquaternium at 60% concentration, algaecide is highly effective against both the greenish free-floating varieties of algae and the so-called black algae that cling to the walls and bottoms of pools. It also doesn’t interfere with the filtration systems nor cause foaming even at high concentrations.
In recirculating water systems, WSCP is an excellent choice because of its non-foaming properties and high effectiveness against algae and bacterial growth. Its synergy with other oxidizing microbicides can increase the overall spectrum and maximize microbial protection against algae, bacteria and fungi in cooling towers and heat exchange systems.
