Enzymes are highly specific
Enzymes are complex proteinic substances that are designed by nature for a single purpose and only one purpose. A cellulase enzyme’s only functionality is to cleave a specific bond with the cellulose chain. We use that functionality to make the fiber much easier to fibrillate, and that means that it develops more strength more easily.
